They Just Grow Too Fast

I know I have been slackin on my post y'all.

Just haven't really had anything to write about. My life got busy all of a sudden. Don't know why.

My youngest turned 16 the other day. I feel so bad because her birthday come right after Christmas and this year, we did not even have a Christmas because we are so broke. Don't know if I can handle too much more of this.

Anyway, I can not believe she is 16, with an attitude too. I think that is automatic when a kid turns 16. I told her a few times, I brought her into this world, I can surely take her out. HA, just kidding. I would not do that, but boy they sure make you want to drink more.

I took her to get her driver's permit. Oh boy! Now, back in my day, I took the written test and the driving test all in the same day to get my license, not when I was getting the permit.

What, no you don't have to take a test for a permit, but she did. Guess what? She failed. My smart child of the bunch failed her written test. Of course she was upset.

I told her she need to review. Again, I really think my family thinks I am a total idiot.

Oh, well, it will be another couple of weeks to get back in there to take the test.

Well, I think she needed to be brought down a few notches. Things don't always work out the way you planned, as Katt Williams would say. :)

So, that is about it so far. I will let you know if she fails again. she better not.

Hi Pkay. So you have a 16 year old too. Actually, mine is a grandson that lives with us. And he is waiting (impatiently) for his d/l to come in the mail. He wanted to use the car the other day to go his friends house (a block and a half down the street!) Ha! We sent him to gas up the car over the weekend and he called us from the pump asking how to use the credit card to make the pump work! Don't you just love it. I saw a bumper sticker that said "Hire a teenager while they still know everything". That about sums it up. Take care.

What! I left a comment on your last post and it's not there (I remember it well- I couldn't believe that you didn't like Tea Leoni. I love her! I have ever since The Family Man... it's one of my favorite movies)! I read your comment today you left for me and was "Wha???". I thought I had missed something because you said something about switching from WP.com to WP. org. And then I was really confused. I think I need to drink more coffee.
I'm sorry that your financial situation isn't looking so good right now. There are so many people right now losing their jobs and the economy sucks for everyone. Sometimes I'm afraid to log onto the computer because I don't know who it will be that had to foreclose on their house or who had just lost their job. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that things start looking up.
Hugs.

PS Mark and I watched Eagle Eye last weekend. LOVED IT!
