Whining Wednesday

As I sit here and try to remember the other day what the heck I was whining about, I am having one of those moments. The ol fart sindrome. CRS! That is so terrible and I am very young.

Oh yes, I still can't remember but as I was sitting on the throne just a moment ago, it darn on me what I could write about.

First of all, I was driving to a little town in Texas called Snyder to meet the people of whom I am going to be teaching a Personal Trainer class hopefully next week. As I was driving along, I really started noticing all of the Wind Energy Fan that are lining the once beautiful West Texas Landscape. They are freakin all over the place. Okay, so here is my question. WHY ARE MY ENERGY BILLS SO FREAKIN OUTRAGOUS? Can you please answer that question. Oh and here is another one. WHY IS MY ENERGY THAT I AM PRODUCING IN TEXAS GOING TO PEOPLE IN FLORIDA? I do not mind spreading the energy, but come on, are people's energy bill lower in Florida now because on the Wind Farms in Texas. Right!

I mean come on people, I am really getting tired of this BS.

I stopped at the gas station there in Snyder, TX and paid $3.69 and guess what I was excited about that because it was lower that last week by about .50. What is the world coming to, if it is the end, then hurry up already.

Okay, just my two cents worth. Remember it is Wednesday and I just had to vent something.

Please don't get offended, I am all for saving energy but when it hits my pocketbook literally then I get a little upset.

This place looks worse than Idigo, California. I wonder what it looks like now, 20 to 30 years later.

Exercise Videos

I would say that I am pretty much an expert on exercise videos. I have such a library full of videos that I use with my fitness classes.

Today, I will talk about the Body Bar Videos. Now, you know you have too many videos when you go to a fitness conference and can't remember if you have that video you are looking at. That is exactly what happened to me. I love the body bar series videos, one because I love the presenters in the video and second I will buy the video based on the exercises. So, as I was looking for another video I came across this one which looked different. I bought it, when I got home I found that I had another one. What did I do, I gave it to my friend who teaches classes. From now on, I will have to take a list of the videos that I have so that I won't buy them twice. You this is not the first time that this has happened. I went to the bookstore and I always look in the exercise section and I found another lady whom is very good and I have a tape of hers too. Well, the packaging looked different and more interesting only to find out it is exactly same as the one I already have. What? You have got to be kidding me. Different packing, but same exercises. Oh well, what is a girl to do. Okay, back to the first video I was talking about.

Mindy Mylrea is such an awesome lady. I have come to know Mindy by attending the conferences that they have in Dallas. She is a ball of energy and her exercises are totally challenging. When you can master some of her exercises that is really saying something. She has so much core strength it is ridculous. The video that I like best with her in the Body Bar video is Power and Grace. In this video, Mindy uses the body bar and her new gliding disc, (which is a whole other novel).

I actually do these exercises with my older women group classes and they do not like them at all, but afterwards they thank me for a great workout. This video causes you to workout on your flexibility and core strength. Violet and Kelly as back up babes, they show all the modifications which is always a plus.

Power To Choose

Setting up my own fitness studio with electric and water can be so overwhelming. A friend of mine told me a while back about this organization in which they gave you different electric providers. The power to choose. It is for Texas Residennts, but some of the providers do provide electric for other states. Simply put in your zip code and it lists the companies and price per kilowatt. They also have fixed rates or variable rates to choose from. They have a month to month, 12 months or 24 months to choose. Of course the longer your plan is the cheaper your rate is, this is what I liked about it.

So, I have decided to go with Gexa Energy. They have a 3% renewable energy content and they are an energy saving company. You should check them out. My water of course will have to stay in town. My new neighbor does not have water, he simply takes some water and uses that to flush the toilet. Saves him money, but he is the only one using the restroom, where as my place, there will be mutiple people using the restroom, so I will have to sign up for that. It is a little scary but I am ready to take the leap of faith. I know it will all workout.

I will get back and let everyone know what my bill looks like with my new electric company. I am seriously thinking about switching my home to this new company. My current provider is really hammering me on price per kilowatt. They are like the most expensive one around.
