TAKEN
My husband and I watch quit a few movies.
is a very well worth the money for the DVD. I truely was on the edge of my couch on this one.
It starts off very slow and I really wanted to just smack the daughter, she played such a spoiled brat. I think that what happens sometimes with kids. They just don't know how good they have it until it is gone.
Alot of violence in this movie. Not really recommended for young eyes, I think I would have nightmares if I was little and watched this movie. I mean it is bad enough wondering about the people in your own neighborhood and cute ones at that. You just never know.
If you get a chance to see or purchase this movie, I would recommend watching this movie.
I really enjoyed watching Liam Neeson in this movie. I think he did a brilliant job. I like action movies when the actor doesn't have to speak much. LOL
Maggie Grace really was the first time that I have seen her in anything, looking at her bio she has been in alot of different TV shows.
So, if you do not have anything to do this upcoming weekend, try watching this movie.

Summertime Bloom
Hello everyone. I have been so slackin on my writing and keeping up.
It is been a year since I have started this blog. The year sure seems to have flown by. So much has happened.
I really don't want to talk about that now.
Every year I try and plant some flowers and more perennials so that next year I don't have to worry too much. It is slowly but surely coming around.
About two years ago I received some free "Easter Lillies" from my friend at Lowes. I planted them in a pot. This year they actually bloomed. Take a look :)
I also planted some just regular flowers (annuals) like marigold, which in the past they haven't seem to do very well, probably because I don't water them regularly so they die. :(
I am happy to say that all my plants are still alive and blooming really good. I can sit on my front porch and just smile. I love looking at color and watching the little birds come swooping by. My little hummingbird still comes and checks out my century plants. They have flowers on them.
When I sit and gaze at my flowers it just seems to make everything better. All my problems seem meaningless at the moment.
Go put a smile on your face and plant something.

Spring Break
It is spring break already. 2009 is already going by so fast. So much to do in this week. I just don't want to do it. How do I get myself out of this depression.
I have been looking for a job. My small business is just working out like I want it to or how invisioned in my head. I may just have to close the doors.
i will try again or something. Just don't know. I have been working my butt off and pouring money into to this and it is just not working out. Well, I do have some classes that are really working good, but it just not enough. I think I just need to regroup and take what is not working and try something else. I have to admit though everything I have tried is just not working.
What do I do. I need some help. Oh, I have sought some help. The drive in people is just not the same as my drive. I can't depend on anyone else to help me but I just don't have the marketing skills that other people have and I have tried. I am so lost. What to do?

Ash-tion-ary
Okay, I know what you are thinking. What the heck is an Ash-tion-ary? Well, my oldest daughter has her own arsenal of words. Where the heck she gets these words or how she makes them up I have no idea.
It all started when I had made the comment of how much this girl sleeps. I really think she has a disorder. She just loves to eat then go take a nap. She does however work from like 3 to 11 at night. Therefore, I have done a days work by the time she gets out of bed at 1:00 p.m. I was like what the heck, girl you need to get movin.
One day I was really tired and really did not feel like doing any laundry, dishes, and cleaning of the house and I thought to my self I am in the first stages of "Ashley-i-tis." I thought OMG, this is not good. Ashley-i-tis can be defined as; wanting to sleep, occasionally eat, and go to work minimal. Then come home and do the same thing, party on the weekends all hours and then start the week over. Ashley -it-tis. I am sure most of you who have kids at home may have this. Beware, this could go on for a while. Snap out of it if you feel like this could be happening to you.
I love my girls. They bring such life to mine.
Second word that I found out yesterday, while we were having lunch at BDubs just enjoying the day with the family. She told her DAD that she was his favorists. What? What kind of word is that? That is not a word, her dad said "Yes it is, did you not know it was in the ashtionary?" I just busted out laughing. That is funny.
Yes folks, I am building an Ash-ltion-ary for some of you who may have this problem understanding your teenager, oh wait she is twenty-somthing. HA.

What is Cookin!
Hello everyone,
I do not know if any of you know this, but I am a reality TV junkie. One of my favorite shows is Top Chef. I have watched this show since it has started. I love it.
One day I am going to be able to get my husband into Culinary School to do some cooking. He loves to cook. He loves all the favors too.
This season has been totally crazy. I love Carla. she is so positive about everything. I love her energy. I wish I could be like that. Not too sure who I like as far as guys are concerned. My cute little blonde hair guy "Jeff" left so I don't know now. I like the anciented guy with the dark hair.
Not to sure who it is going to be on this one.
I will always love Harold, but I haven't really seen anyone really up their game. Come on chefs let's see some real cooking.

They Just Grow Too Fast
I know I have been slackin on my post y'all.
Just haven't really had anything to write about. My life got busy all of a sudden. Don't know why.
My youngest turned 16 the other day. I feel so bad because her birthday come right after Christmas and this year, we did not even have a Christmas because we are so broke. Don't know if I can handle too much more of this.
Anyway, I can not believe she is 16, with an attitude too. I think that is automatic when a kid turns 16. I told her a few times, I brought her into this world, I can surely take her out. HA, just kidding. I would not do that, but boy they sure make you want to drink more.
I took her to get her driver's permit. Oh boy! Now, back in my day, I took the written test and the driving test all in the same day to get my license, not when I was getting the permit.
What, no you don't have to take a test for a permit, but she did. Guess what? She failed. My smart child of the bunch failed her written test. Of course she was upset.
I told her she need to review. Again, I really think my family thinks I am a total idiot.
Oh, well, it will be another couple of weeks to get back in there to take the test.
Well, I think she needed to be brought down a few notches. Things don't always work out the way you planned, as Katt Williams would say. :)
So, that is about it so far. I will let you know if she fails again. she better not.

Ghost Town
This is a romantic comedy. Now, when I first saw that Greg Kinnear was in this movie, I knew I had to watch it. I love Greg, ever since the movie "As good as it gets".
This movie has an odd sense of humor to it. It has a touch of british humor to it. So, if you like british humor you should like this movie. I will have to say it is not all like that though.
A new comer to the screen for me anyway, some of you may have seen movies with him is a fellow named "Ricky Gervaris"
Notice is says Ricky Gervaris and not Ricky Bobby. :)
It appears as though Ricky is a writer for "The Office" which has an odd sense of humor as well.
I really like this guy.
Tea Leoni has a big part in this movie too. I like her better in comedy movies. Don't know how the rest of you feel. I think I live with or without her. I like the parts she plays but I don't rush out and buy the movies that she is specifically in.
This movie reminds me of a little of the movie "Heart and Souls" Do you remember? That was a funny movie too. Robert Downey, Jr. was a little hottie then too.
So there you have it. Another movie review. Hope you enjoy when you are all snowed in and the weather is just unbareable sitting next to the fire. This is a movie worth watching.

Big Brother is Watching.
Oh my gosh! You know you have heard this. Sometimes I would make jokes at the military base I taught aerobics at for the participants to smile and wave at big brother (the little camera eye). I bring this up because I watched the movie "Eagle Eye".
Ever since "Transformers" the movie came out,
I have been keeping a watchful eye (no pun intended :), on Mr. Shia LaBeouf. I knew he was going to be something.
My husband's friend brought over a couple of movies the other night, well Sunday night, and I happened to glance at the names and really did not feel like watching them.
I went and taught my classes and came home. Both my husband and my youngest daughter were both watching this "Eagle Eye' movie. I watched the tail end of it. Naturally, I did not have a clue about what the movie was about or anything. I dare ask, because I would get the fifth degree of not being there from the beginning.
My daughter and I happen to be bored this afternoon and she said "Let's watch that move the Eagle Eye mom, it is good."
I said Ok, what the heck. Man, that was an awesome movie. I have to tell you, this is one movie worth watching. Actioned packed. His co-star Michelle Monaghan is a good actress too.
Billy Bob Thornton is in this movie, along with Bobby Ray from "Sweet Home Alabama."
You need to watch this movie a couple of time just to catch all the little things. Although, you won't really miss the big stuff watching it the first time, but the second to pick up the small things. Just like the Transformer movie.
Oh, I just looked at Shia filmography. Holy Cow! I did not know he played in that many movies that I recognized.
yes, this is a must see movie. Get the popcorn ready and get your drinks ready, no time in the movie to get up and get it.
